Flower-II

I happened to watch youtube video on how to make a flower and came up with a simple version of my own.
Chain 6 stitches
Join the loop and do 16 single crochet. Join the row with a slip stitch.
In the first chain, do 4 DC and slip stitch on the same chain.
Slip stitch the next two chains and do 4 DC on the next chain.
Keep doing until u get 5 petals. Now join to the first petal with a slip stitch
Chain 4stitches and join to the end of the petal. Continue this until you get 5 such loops at the back of the petal. Join with a slip stitch.
Now for each loop do two sets of 5 QC forming 2 petals for each loop with a total of 10 big petals.
Slip stitch at the end of the row and cut off the yarn.
The resultant will be

Flower

Wanted to add a flower on the newly knitted baby cap. So wanted to make one and the videos below is a perfectly instructed procedure on how to make a flower.

Baby cap with pom pom

My hubby is soon going to meet a little princess. Thought of gifting her something that she can use. So made this baby cap and added a pom pom on the top of the hat. Just loving the way it has come out.. I just wish the little princess loves this pom pom cap. :)
Yarn used : Lily Sugar n Cream- Playtime (02741)  for hat and Red Heart Yarn for pom pom
